Millets Pongal

My next recipe with millets. This pongal can be made with any kind of millet like Samai, Thinai, Kuthiravaali. It tastes same like normal rice pongal  difficult to find difference. It is a refreshing good and healthy breakfast. This is served with Sambar or  different Chutnies. Here i have used Channa Dal chutney.


Things Needed

Millet 1 cup
Masoor Dal 1/3 cup
Pepper 1 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Ginger 1 inch
Curry leaf or coriander leaf
Ghee

Mix Millet and dal together wash it well and add three cups of water to it.


Season crushed ginger, pepper and jeera in Ghee. Add curry leaves to it.


Add seasoned spices to millets and then salt. Mix it well and cook it for 3 whistles in pressure cooker.



Once pressure is out open it and mix it thoroughly. Mix little water to suit your own wish and boil it.



Today i served this millet pongal with Chana Dal Chutney.
