Soya is full of Calcium and it help with strength of bones and teeth. And it is rich in protein and Iron. Adding this to your daily food gives more benefits. There won't be much difference in the look and feel of your Idly and dosa in this method. Idlies will be much more softer than the normal Idly.
Many mix soy flour before making Idly, if you prepare batter in this method you need not mix flour just soak Whole soy and grind it with dal.
I have given full procedure of how i make it below.

For 4 person this quantity will last for 5 to 6 days.
6 cups Idly Rice
2 cups Urid Dal
1/2 cup Soya whole

Grind Urid dal in Grinder and add soya paste in this and grind for half an hour so it will rise nicely, remove it and start grinding rice.

Now grind Idly rice in the grinder as well.

Once you finish grinding your rice to desired texture add salt and mix dal paste with it and let it ferment.
Now you can make Idlies like how you always make it. After fermenting try not mix your batter before making Idly so air which is trapped inside during fermentation will make your Idlies soft and fluffy.
If you use Idly rava instead Rice then in that process also you can do it in the same method.
If you have any doubt in the process then write to me in the comment box below.
