Coconut Chutney for south Indian Breakfast

This Coconut Chutney is ideal combination for Idly Dosa Upma Pongal even vada and pakodas like south Indian Breakfast. This Chutney is done without heating  and done in seconds. Many of them think coconut is not good for health so they try to avoid it for their shopping list. But that is a myth coconut is good when you eat it without heating once you cook coconut then starts cholesterol thing which is commonly said.

You need just five things to make this tasty coconut chutney.

Coconut - 1/4 from whole
Fried chana Dal - 1/4 cup
Garlic - 2 or Ginger
Green chili - 2 small
salt - to taste

Grind all the ingredients together into a smooth paste with little water. Add Garlic if you need mild flavor or Ginger if you need some strong flavor. In the end add little fresh coriander leaves if you like the taste of it.

Seasoning is optional if you like the taste of seasoning then add little mustard seeds, urad dal and hing and curry leaves and crackle it.
