Tomato Dosa

When I think about making breakfast this is one of my favorite Dosa. Normally most of them make onion dosa, egg dosa like that since we grind Tomatoes with rice it gives unique taste to this Dosa. Instead of  always making plain dosa this will be a change. 

Chili Sauce for Momos

This Chili Sauce is best with momos and used to prepare stir fried  noodles and other chinese foods. It can be refrigerated and used for more than a month.

LeftOver Cabbage Subzi Momos

 Kids do this Face for Cabbage  Subzi. This will be their reaction when they eat this Momos. This momos is made in a very healthy way without using any preserved items like soy sauce, Ajinomoto etc. I do this momos whenever i make cabbage subzi and she has never complained about eating it. If you are worried that our kid is not eating vegetables trying something innovative and making them eat it is not a mistake. Try this recipe.

Magic Home made Ketchup

Ketchup???????????? Yes it is ketchup I am making today. No preservatives everything fresh. In my house I make lots of snacks and for everything we need ketchup. I always got worried about eating so much of ketchup and wondered if I can make it in my home. You just think about this normal store bought ketchup has so much of shelf life, how is it possible without adding so much of preservatives.So finally I started making my own ketchup. It is simple but takes lots of time. Things needed Tomato 1 kg Onion 2 Garlic 10 Chili 6 or 7 salt Brown sugar 6 tsp lime 2 Wash tomatoes and cut onion in four, add chili and Garlic. Take everything in microwave bowl and close it and microwave it for 10 minutes. Grind cooked tomato mixture into fine paste. Strain it well.  Grind  it 3 or 4 times and extract all the juice from tomatoes.   Pour it in a thick bottom pan and add salt, lime juice, brown sugar and cook it in high flame for minimum one hour. Yet Another sandwich filling idea. Pesto is good in taste but very strong flavored sauce. If you add it directly to your sandwich that punch won't be there. Paneer will is mild and good combination with this strong flavored pesto. In most of the sandwich you can add cheese but I try not to.  

Homemade Pesto Sauce

Pesto is normally made with Basil, Some even make it with sun dried Tomatoes. Now here I have shown how to make Basil pesto. Basil gives very strong flavor for this sauce, to neutralize the basil flavor we add nuts and cheese to it. Now a days many kids have nuts allergy, in that case avoid it. Nuts and Cheese gives extra flavor to this sauce omitting it won't spoil the dish, only it will become little strong flavored, use only little bit of pesto in your recipe in that case. Pine nuts are commonly used in Pesto,but I use whatever nut available in home sometimes Almond Cashew,even peanuts also. Two way Fully loaded Vegetable

Yes, This dish is loaded with many vegetables, Today I used whatever vegetables I had in home, but you can use any vegetable like Carrot, Zucchini, Broccoli, Potatoes, Baby corn, Mushroom, Cauliflower like that. Sometimes we just eat these vegetables with some dip, Here today I have shown two ways of wrapping vegetables in Roti or like sandwich filling inside bread.

Beet Cake

This is my first Sweet recipe in this blog. Suddenly, I started wondering I make so much cakes and sweets, but why I have not posted any sweet recipe in this blog so far. I wanted my first dessert recipe to be simple and different. Then decided to make this Beetroot Cake. My family enjoyed this Beetroot cake, I hope you will also try it and enjoy. I make cake always in wheat flour only. Using plain flour or Maida is very bad for digestion. In olden days in our town i have seen people mixing maida with water to make glue to stick posters on wall. It is always a big no for Maida or plain flour in my kitchen. Things Needed Beetroot grated 1.5 cup Egg 2 Sugar 1/2 cup Wheat flour 1cup Oil 3/4 cup Baking powder 1/2 tsp Milk 1/2 cup Beat Egg and sugar together well and  add oil slowly while continuously mixing. Add grated beetroot to egg mixture and mix everything well.  Add baking powder and wheat flour together in beetroot and mix it thorough

Millets Pongal

My next recipe with millets. This pongal can be made with any kind of millet like Samai, Thinai,   Kuthiravaali. It tastes same like normal rice pongal  difficult to find difference. It is a refreshing good and healthy breakfast. This is served with Sambar or  different Chutnies. Here i have used Channa Dal chutney.

Chana Dal Chutney

This Chana Dal Chutney tastes good with rice and pongal varieties. Eat this with little ghee and plain rice taste is very good. It is made with very few things available always in home.

Coleslaw Sandwich

Another creamy Sandwich filling which can be made and stored for few days. This filling is perfect for asking kids to help make. You don't have to use fire and can be done within seconds.

Broccoli Sandwich

Sandwich Fillings,  Planing to introduce different fillings for sandwich. This good for Lunch boxes packed with lots of goodness. Suddenly if you want make some snack also this is good, you don't have to make it only with Broccoli it can be done with different vegetables. Actually i use this same recipe for Stuffed paratha and also for stuffed buns.

Mini Pizza Dosa

Mini Pizza Dosa. This is totally Indian Fusion Food.Today I had only Dosa batter, My daughter does not like to eat dosa much in the night so was thinking what to make differently for dinner with dosa bater and came up with the idea of making this Dosa pizza. Raided my fridge fro toppings andfound only mushroom which will be good for Dosa Pizza.  

Broccoli Paratha

Paratha, we make different varieties of parathas. Here is one more to add to that paratha list. Are you not sure what to make with Broccoli then here is one way of cooking it which everyone will love. Broccoli is very good in Vitamin C and dietary fiber. It is best to make it without much cooking and too many spices. For this reason Broccoli paratha is best since we don't have to cook it much. This Paratha is unique in taste since we add Broccoli.
